Motivation:

Based on experience gained from the working group ''Future developments in the area of CA-product design'', a national competence center for innovative product development was established. The competence center is a dynamic alliance of employees from the institutes transferring product development knowledge into industry.

The objectives of the project are:

  • Collaboration between the ETH and the Schools for Applied Science is focused on the transfer of knowledge
  • Knowledge for the organization of innovation processes, as well as for technical aspects of new products.
  • Together research projects will be conducted.

The following activities are in progress:

  • Several projects have been started. Some are internal projects, while a few are with industrial partners.
  • The development of a new learning technology is being planned.
