Motivation:

For the past several years, the importance of multifunctional teams in research and development has grown. Therefore, tools for information logistics have been implemented. The intensive usage of software tools has mostly impeded success within the teams. New methods of knowledge logistics have to compose the conceptual basis of the information technology.

The objectives of the project are:

Together with the Institute for Work Psychology, we have developed several tools for analyzing teams in R&D projects. We have analyzed the R&D-processes of an engineering firm and an R&D section of a machine-building company and reference processes have been extracted from the experiences we gained. The tools and the results are published in different research papers and a doctoral thesis
